It was about a week and a half ago that I brought the ducks and the geese home. I had them as ducklings and goslings, but once they were big enough they moved to one of the community gardens with which I work. The garden has plans to have a different type of flock at the garden so we were planning to take them back, but a water problem bumped up the timeline.
I was able to fit a dog crate into my car and fit all 5 ducks and the 3 geese into the crate. I'm not sure what I should have done differently, but they were miserable! The male used to come up to me to be held, and nuzzle me. They won't have anything to do with me, and the other day they hissed at me. I hope that a few weeks of their new digs will calm them down and mend our relationship, but geese are funny critters with very good memories.

I sure hope they find it in their feathery little brains to forgive me. |
Pool heaters can be a great addition to your backyard swimming pool. Not only will they keep you warm on those chilly summer days, but they can also keep the pool water warm on those cooler days. There are a few things to keep in mind when installing a pool heater, though. pool heater installation
